Circue was established in 2021 as part of a Grand Solution project, partly funded by Innovation Fund Denmark and Realdania.
The project united a diverse group of partners, including Circue ApS, Danish Technological Institute, University of Southern Denmark, J. Jensen A/S, Tredje Natur, Matter ByBrix, Twentyfifty Futures, HDLab, Danica Real Estate, Municipality of Roskilde, Municipality of Middelfart, Lejerbo, and Rald & Co.
Over three years, this consortium conducted an extensive study into circular construction, pinpointing barriers and enablers, evaluating processes, and developing initial digital tool prototypes.
Our efforts were aimed at crafting digital tools to support decision-making and add value for stakeholders in the construction sector.
In 2023, supported by Realdania and Grundejernes Investeringsfond, Circue collaborated with the Danish Technological Institute, Molio, and Contech Lab to create a Material Passport for Reused Materials.
By 2024, with additional backing from Realdania, Circue ApS began developing the Circue Platform, set to launch in Q1 2025. This market-ready product is designed to promote circular construction practices and simplify the adoption of sustainable methods in the industry.
From its inception, Circue has committed to advancing circular construction, working with industry leaders and innovators to forge a sustainable future in construction. The forthcoming release of the Circue Platform is a key step toward fulfilling this mission.
